“Bible Translations Philosophies” chart is misleading.
Problem: The following chart suggests that the JST (Joseph Smith Translation) and the NWT (New World Translation) are classified among the trustworthy paraphrases/translations of the Bible.
The JST is utilized by Mormons and the NWT are utilized by Jehovah’s Witness. The chart is just another “foot in the door” technique to desensitize the teachings of the Mormon Church and Jehovah’s Witness. Although much of the chart is agreeable and helpful when attempting to understand transliterations and translations, the addition of the other translations is misleading.
